Through the generosity of an anonymous donor, the NCCB may award scholarships that cover the membership dues to the band for one year (season).
Goal:
To support students, teachers and families playing in the NCCB
Process:
The scholarship applicant should fill out the form below, describing:
- how they meet the intent of supporting students, teachers, or families
- their financial need
The scholarship program application period will open at the 1st rehearsal of the season and will close at the 3rd rehearsal.
The Board will review all applications at a regularly scheduled board meeting and will select recipients. The number of scholarships awarded will be determined by how much money is available to be awarded and the number of applicants.
- Adults: May receive up to $80 scholarship
- Students: May receive up to $40 scholarship (high school, undergraduate, graduate are all included in this category)
If there are funds remaining after the award process, a second scholarship period may be opened, beginning with the 1st rehearsal after the New Year, and closing by the 3rd rehearsal. The same process will be followed as with the first scholarship period.
If a scholarship is requested, dues are not required until a decision is made. If selection for scholarship does not occur, then dues are required.
